The video “Crankshaft picking using collaborative robots (Universal Robots)” has been released.

YCAM3D/VT was able to find the crankshaft in various positions and orientations, and then insert the hand hole into that shaft with high precision.

The robot guides the hand up to picking, and a balancer assists in lifting heavy workpieces.

This is a unique use of collaborative robots, in which the robot again guides the work after picking.

We hope that similar methods will be deployed in a variety of settings.
