Regarding opposition to our patents

In response to an opposition to our patent (patent number 7199101), our amendment to the patent was approved, and all claims 1 to 9 were maintained.

 

This patent forms the basis of our robot vision system, and by defining the amount of workpiece movement as the amount of movement in the robot base coordinates, it significantly improves robot vision in the following two ways:

 

(1) The robot’s movements can be made to track changes in the position and orientation of the workpiece without changing any of the robot’s multiple teaching points.

(2) The robot is moved using the relative amount of changes in the position and orientation of the workpiece, so it is not affected by poor accuracy of the robot.
